Prime Contract

Supply and installation of structural steel frame (580 Tons), precast hollow core plank (126,000 sq. ft.) and miscellaneous metals for the 5 story student housing project. Project consisted of supplying detail drawings and connection design for the Girder-Slab (G-S) system, an integrated precast hollow core plank and steel framing design, which was utilized to maintain the low floor to floor heights required for the facility. This is the first structure in the area to utilize the innovative Girder-Slab system. Structural steel framing included columns, beams, moment frames, specialized G-S D-beams, galvanized tube steel mechanical screening and brick relief angle on all elevations. Miscellaneous metals work was comprised of multiple egress stairs and railing, interior railing, canopy support steel and roof davits.
