SubContract Steel Erection

Performing erect only scopes of work for structural steel, miscellaneous metals and ornamental iron, working directly for the fabricator has always been an essential part of Forest City Erectors’ (FCE) success establishing it as one of the SubContract largest steel erectors in Northeastern Ohio.  FCE developed in the industry providing fabricators with valuable assistance in erecting both steel and miscellaneous metals and continues to do so today; no project is too big or too small.  An example of a recent large project completed was the erection of the newly completed 11,000 ton Cleveland Medical Mart & Convention Center project with a JV erection partner for one of the largest fabricators in the country.  An example of a small project recently completed was installing core-drilled sidewalk handrail for a local miscellaneous metal fabricator at a local Cleveland area residence hall.  It is our goal to be the best erection partner in the industry.  We are well versed in sequencing, coordination including erection planning, crane & project logistics, required safety site specific policies and on-site safety reviews including full time on site safety personnel if required, provide scheduling input and critical path analysis, integrating steel work with follow-on trades, value engineering including shop drawing review including value added contributions at any stage of the project.  FCE has a professional engineer on staff and is an AISC Certified Steel Erector.  FCE is available for pre-award meetings and is prepared to assist out-of-town contractors as needed in weekly jobsite coordination and scheduling meetings.
